Introduction

a Leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit in South Africa, is seeking a Stock Controller to join their logistics department in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate tracking, analysis, and control of their fruit stock inventory, as well as coordinating the movement of pallets for export and local markets.

Duties & Responsibilities

System administration & master files
Ensure that the movement of pallets is accurately tracked, pinpointed, and analyzed as per the Marketing Program.
Manage fruit stock inventory and control, stock age management, and product allocations as per the market program.
Coordinate intakes and dispatches for both export and local markets.
Summarize and communicate weekly planning to relevant parties.
Manage special market arrangements such as the Steri protocol.
Export Documentation
Follow up on export and logistics documentation, including Addendum, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List.
Generate daily marketing stock reports.

Desired Experience & Qualification

System knowledge and experience with logistic export systems and documentation.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification.

• At least 3 years’ experience in a fruit export logistic environment.

• Previous experience with stock and allocations.

• Knowledge of Palbroker and logistics experience in a fruit export environment will be beneficial.
